Hello once again,
Well the eisteddfod is underway it's when it closes in that I wonder why in the world I even put my name on the list of competitors. Then of course I remember why.
Because I wanted the experience to further my music studies.
I sung my sacred solo today but guess what! Of course this week I got a cold and so my voice is not up to scratch and it's a bad cold because it really makes you feel sick...
But - thank you God - I am over the worst just little bits here and there like today when I almost fainted on stage. A combination of nerves and my cold. I was getting through the nerves and I thought the song was going to be better but then the faint came on and I tried to wiggle my toes and all but yeah...thanks God you got me through and I did not actually faint! I was so embarrassed I had to grip the piano. But I finished the song and then still gestured to my pianist and then walked off from the spotlight making it to some bars for support. Someone said 'catch her!' but I got over the worst which is a point to be proud of as I have not been able to get over a faint and if I hadn't prayed to God I wouldn't have.
So yes, I was...upset over the faint though...and to makes things slighty even more nerve racking my duet partner rings up to ask how my solo went...yeah well um...good? Nah I told him how it went and he's an awesome partner so he understood and all.
I am trying to get it right on stage. Trying! But as the verse goes...
'I can do all things through Christ who strengths me.' Philippians 4:13
Only through the strength of Christ as he proved today. Thank you God. To You be the glory forever and ever amen!
